FAQ
Questions? We've Got Answers
Is the video quality actually good?
Each video has natural voice narration, clean visuals, and real code examples — not robotic TTS or generic slides. You can judge for yourself with 5 free videos.
What technical topics can you cover?
DevOps topics such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, cloud platforms, networking, and monitoring are a core strength. OpenLume also covers frontend and backend development, programming languages, databases, APIs, system design, testing, data engineering, AI/ML, mobile development, and more. If it's a software engineering topic, you can ask about it.
How does personalization work?
You tell us what you already know and what you want to learn. Our AI uses this context to generate content at exactly your level - skipping basics you know and focusing on what you need. You can also specify your preferred tech stack.
Can I rewatch my tutorials?
Yes! All your generated tutorials are saved in your account. You can rewatch them anytime, share them with teammates, or generate new ones on related topics.
How long does generation take?
Most tutorials are ready in 60-90 seconds. The AI needs to generate the script, create visuals, generate code examples, and synthesize narration - all personalized to you.
Is my code private? How do you handle my data?
Your questions and any code you paste are used only to generate your tutorial. We use OpenAI's API to power generation — under OpenAI's API data policy, your inputs and outputs are not used to train their models and are retained only briefly for abuse monitoring. We don't sell your data or share it with other users, and you can delete your tutorials and account at any time from your settings. For sensitive work, we still recommend redacting secrets and internal identifiers before pasting — the same hygiene you'd apply to any AI tool.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No! The free plan gives you 5 tutorials per month with no credit card required. Try it out and upgrade only if you love it.
What if the tutorial doesn't match my needs?
You can regenerate with more specific context or a different skill level. The more details you provide about what you know and what you need, the better the results.
